Join the 12th European Organic Congress ‘Organic on every table: Added value for farmers, consumers and society’ in Vienna, Austria, from 25-26 September 2018.  The Congress has two parallel workshops on the second day, where participants can discuss the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and fairness along the value chain with high-level experts.

12th European Organic Congress: Workshops on the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and Fairness along the value chain

The first workshop will deal with the design and implementation of the new CAP Strategic Plans proposed by the European Commission, opening the discussion on how environmental objectives and indicators in the new CAP can be linked to concrete agricultural measures. The objective of this workshop is to gather practical recommendations from speakers and participants on how to design a greener CAP supported by ambitious national Strategic Plans.

The second workshop will focus on fairness along the value chain, looking into how the recent EU proposal on Unfair Trading Practices can strengthen the agricultural sector. This session will also delve into exploring alternative frameworks for true cost accounting in farming and the role of organic farming within them.
