Fins fa pocs anys la Uni\u00f3 Europea permetia afegir fosfats als productes catalogats com a &#8216;enfortidors de plantes&#8217;. En alguns pa\u00efsos, fins i tot, aquestes subst\u00e0ncies es podien utilitzar en l&#8217;agricultura ecol\u00f2gica. No obstant aix\u00f2, <strong>aquestes pr\u00e0ctiques van ser vetades el 2013, quan els fosfats inorg\u00e0nics van ser identificats com a pesticides.<\/strong> Es van afegir, a m\u00e9s, de forma preventiva a la llei d&#8217;alimentaci\u00f3 infantil com <strong>a possibles amenaces per a la salut dels nadons<\/strong>. Encara que, a difer\u00e8ncia d&#8217;altres qu\u00edmics com el glifosat, l&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic no se sol considerar com una amena\u00e7a contra la salut humana de manera fonamentada.<\/p>\n<p>Tot i el veto, avui se segueixen trobant restes d&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic en els camps ecol\u00f2gics. Aix\u00f2 es deu al fet que l&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic s&#8217;acumula en els cultius perennes, en les arrels de les plantes i els boscos, de tal manera que <strong>perdura en ells, almenys, set anys despr\u00e9s d&#8217;haver-se reconvertit cap a pr\u00e0ctiques agr\u00e0ries ecol\u00f2giques<\/strong>. I no nom\u00e9s aix\u00f2. Teories recents apunten que la seva pres\u00e8ncia a les terres podria ser deguda a l&#8217;\u00fas d&#8217;alguns fitosanitaris aptes per a l&#8217;agricultura ecol\u00f2gica que contenen aquesta subst\u00e0ncia sense declarar-la en la seva llista d&#8217;ingredients o a la formaci\u00f3 natural d&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic sota certes condicions clim\u00e0tiques.<\/p>\n<h3>Nivells qu\u00edmics &#8220;no quantificables&#8221;<\/h3>\n<p>La tardor passada, una enquesta de l\u2019Associaci\u00f3 Europea de Processadors i Comercialitzadors, <strong>OPTA<\/strong> i del Institut de Investigaci\u00f3 d\u2019Agricultura Org\u00e0nica, <strong>FiBL<\/strong>, va il\u00b7lustrar les dimensions de la problem\u00e0tica: d&#8217;entre gaireb\u00e9 4.000 an\u00e0lisis de residus de la ind\u00fastria ecol\u00f2gica es van trobar restes d&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic a la meitat dels aliments analitzats. No obstant aix\u00f2, les troballes no van ser suficients per procedir a la descertificaci\u00f3 dels productes.<\/p>\n<p>De fet, les restes trobades es consideren immesurables, de manera que els productes compleixen amb les expectatives de qualitat ecol\u00f2gica. Aix\u00ed ho demostra l&#8217;\u00faltim informe d\u2019<strong>EFSA<\/strong>, l\u2019Autoritat Europea de Seguretat Aliment\u00e0ria, \u00a0publicat el 2020, que apunta que <strong>el 85% dels productes ecol\u00f2gics no mostren subst\u00e0ncies qu\u00edmiques quantificables<\/strong>, davant el 56% dels cultius convencionals analitzats.<\/p>\n<h3>Llavors, per qu\u00e8 aquesta situaci\u00f3 genera tanta incertesa entre operadors i certificadores?<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cLa c\u00e0rrega de les subst\u00e0ncies \u00e0mpliament utilitzades en l&#8217;agricultura convencional pressiona sobre l&#8217;ecol\u00f2gic i no \u00e9s just. Aix\u00f2 s\u2019ha d&#8217;acabar\u201d, explica a <em>Bio Eco Actual<\/em> el representant d&#8217;OPTA Europa, <strong><em>Bavo van den Idsert.<\/em><\/strong> I \u00e9s que l&#8217;organitzaci\u00f3 veu en la deriva de subst\u00e0ncies qu\u00edmiques procedents de l&#8217;agricultura convencional <strong>un risc per a l&#8217;objectiu d&#8217;augmentar la producci\u00f3 ecol\u00f2gica fins al 25% del s\u00f2l el 2030,<\/strong> marcat per la Uni\u00f3 Europea. No obstant aix\u00f2, a causa de l&#8217;\u00fas habitual del qu\u00edmic, i tenint en compte la seva llarga perman\u00e8ncia en el s\u00f2l i les arrels, probablement un gran nombre d&#8217;agricultors seguiran trobant restes qu\u00edmiques en els seus cultius, tot i que cada vegada en menor quantitat.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>L&#8217;objectiu \u00e9s crear un programa progressiu per reduir la pres\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic en els cultius a partir de 2023<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>La transici\u00f3 ecol\u00f2gica, clau<\/h3>\n<p>S\u00f3n diverses les organitzacions del sector que han comen\u00e7at ja a prendre mesures per posar fi a la pres\u00e8ncia d&#8217;aquesta subst\u00e0ncia en els cultius ecol\u00f2gics. No obstant aix\u00f2, es tracta de l\u00ednies d&#8217;acci\u00f3 a nivell nacional, preses de manera independent i de forma heterog\u00e8nia en l\u2019\u00e0mbit europeu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ja que es tracta d&#8217;una problem\u00e0tica global, cal una resposta conjunta.<\/strong> Per aix\u00f2, recentment OPTA ha creat un grup de treball per impulsar una acci\u00f3 harmonitzada entre els estats i les autoritats europees. L&#8217;objectiu \u00e9s crear un programa progressiu <strong>per reduir la pres\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;\u00e0cid fosf\u00f2nic en els cultius a partir de 2023<\/strong>, prenent com a refer\u00e8ncia el precedent exit\u00f3s del clorat, una subst\u00e0ncia qu\u00edmica que tamb\u00e9 va generar controv\u00e8rsia en el sector.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>L&#8217;ecol\u00f2gic no podr\u00e0 aconseguir una abs\u00e8ncia total de residus t\u00f2xics mentre els plaguicides se segueixin utilitzant en els cultius convencionals<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;Creiem que l&#8217;enfocament del full de ruta \u00e9s t\u00e8cnicament possible, per\u00f2 es necessita a tot el sector alimentari per resoldre el problema, amb un enfocament sistem\u00e0tic basat en la recopilaci\u00f3 de tots dos costats&#8221;, defensa Bavo Van den Idsert. Pel que l&#8217;organitzaci\u00f3 considera <strong>necessari involucrar en el pla d&#8217;acci\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 als principals actors de la ind\u00fastria aliment\u00e0ria i agr\u00edcola convencional<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest sentit, l&#8217;objectiu de la UE de <strong>reduir els pesticides qu\u00edmics en un 50% el 2030 \u00e9s fonamental<\/strong>.
