Aix\u00ed ho demostra un estudi realitzat en una eco-granja de la Xina.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Aproximadament el 35% dels gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle (GEI) a nivell mundial provenen de l&#8217;agricultura (la resta, principalment, de l&#8217;\u00fas intensiu de combustibles f\u00f2ssils en las activitats industrials i el transport).<\/p>\n<p>Alguns experts assenyalen que els \u00e9ssers humans podrien revertir la tend\u00e8ncia global d&#8217;emissions contaminants de CO2 (un dels principals gasos responsables de l&#8217;escalfament global) a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;un canvi en l&#8217;agricultura cap als cultius ecol\u00f2gics.<\/p>\n<p>Aquest tipus de cultiu implicaria un augment del contingut de mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica en el s\u00f2l, el que ajudaria no nom\u00e9s en fixar carboni i en reduir las emissions, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 en millorar la capacitat del s\u00f2l de retenir aigua i nutrients i de resistir plagues i sequeres. A m\u00e9s, l&#8217;agricultura ecol\u00f2gica podria ser una bona opci\u00f3 per disminuir l&#8217;\u00fas intensiu de fertilitzants sint\u00e8tics, amb la conseq\u00fcent protecci\u00f3 del medi ambient i un increment del rendiment agr\u00edcola.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Pot resultar clau per contrarestar l&#8217;emissi\u00f3 de gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Caracter\u00edstiques de l&#8217;estudi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pel que fa a l&#8217;emissi\u00f3 de gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle, un estudi recent, realitzat per cient\u00edfics de l&#8217;Institut de Bot\u00e0nica de l&#8217;Acad\u00e8mia Xina de Ci\u00e8ncies, ha revelat que la substituci\u00f3 de fertilitzants qu\u00edmics por adobs org\u00e0nics disminuiria significativament les esmentades emissions.<\/p>\n<p>D&#8217;aquesta manera, l&#8217;agricultura ecol\u00f2gica podria convertir l&#8217;ecosistema agr\u00edcola, actual font de carboni contaminant, en un aut\u00e8ntic embornal de carboni.<\/p>\n<p>Per a explorar el potencial de las terres agr\u00edcoles com a embornals de carboni -sense p\u00e8rdues de rendiment- l&#8217;investigador de l&#8217;esmentat centre Jiang Gaoming, ha realitzat un experiment en una eco-granja de l&#8217;est de la Xina rural, informa Science China Press a trav\u00e9s d&#8217;Eurekalert!.<\/p>\n<p>En aquesta, els residus dels cultius son utilitzats per a l&#8217;alimentaci\u00f3 del bestiar; i els fems d&#8217;aquest (convertit en compost) \u00e9s tornat a las terres de cultiu amb blat fariner (<em>Triticum aestivum o vulgare, <\/em>esp\u00e8cie de blat m\u00e9s extensament conreada al m\u00f3n) i blat de moro.<\/p>\n<p>El rendiment d&#8217;aquests cultius i les seves emissions de gas d&#8217;efecte hivernacle (GEI) van ser calculats acuradament seguint las directrius marcades pel Panel Intergovernamental sobre el Canvi Clim\u00e0tic (IPCC) per a inventaris de gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle (2006).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resultats obtinguts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;estudi va demostrar que la substituci\u00f3 de fertilitzants qu\u00edmics per adob org\u00e0nic va disminuir significativament l&#8217;emissi\u00f3 de gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle.<\/p>\n<p>La substituci\u00f3 total, en concret, va disminuir las emissions de gasos d&#8217;efecte hivernacle, fins i tot al punt que aquest ecosistema agr\u00edcola va passar de ser una font de carboni (amb una emissi\u00f3 de +2,7 tones m\u00e8triques d&#8217;equivalent de CO2 anuals cada dos hect\u00f2metres) a ser un embornal de carboni (-8,8 tones m\u00e8triques d&#8217;equivalent de CO2 anuals cada dos hect\u00f2metres).<\/p>\n<p>Els rendiments del blat i del blat de moro, per la seva part, tamb\u00e9 van augmentar amb la fertilitzaci\u00f3 del s\u00f2l amb els fems de bestiar millorat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>La millor soluci\u00f3 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Per\u00f2 en tots els efectes que millor va funcionar va ser una combinaci\u00f3 d&#8217;adobs org\u00e0nics i fertilitzants qu\u00edmics.
