Al llibre \u201cCom l\u2019aigua -col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de Haikus-\u201d del poeta dominic\u00e0 Mont\u00e1s, llegim que l\u2019aigua \u201ctot connecta i pot donar-se el luxe de ser vapor, boira i nebulosa, ascens i descens, caiguda, sacsejada i recuperaci\u00f3\u201d; cosa que en paraules menys po\u00e8tiques ens parla d\u2019un proc\u00e9s c\u00edclic natural deguda a l\u2019acci\u00f3 de l\u2019energia del sol i la for\u00e7a de la gravetat, que comporta canvis no nom\u00e9s en el seu estat -s\u00f2lid, l\u00edquid i gas\u00f3s- sin\u00f3 en la seva localitzaci\u00f3.<!--more--><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_88563\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-88563\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-88563 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo.jpg\" alt=\"hidrologia del s\u00f2l\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo-696x522.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo-560x420.jpg 560w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo-80x60.jpg 80w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/hidrologia-del-suelo-265x198.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-88563\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">123rf Limited\u00a9egubisch<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>El planeta cont\u00e9 1.385 milions de km3 d\u2019aigua<\/strong>; dels quals aproximadament el 97% \u00e9s aigua salada, la resta correspon a aigua dol\u00e7a que es distribueix entre diferents dip\u00f2sits: els casquets polars, els rius, els llacs, els aq\u00fc\u00edfers subterranis i l\u2019atmosfera. En la majoria, no nom\u00e9s s\u2019emmagatzema, sin\u00f3 que es purifica i es recicla i roman diferents per\u00edodes de temps.<\/p>\n<p>El s\u00f2l no es considera un dip\u00f2sit com a tal, per\u00f2 \u00e9s un magatzem natural per a l\u2019aigua i el responsable juntament amb la vegetaci\u00f3 de l\u2019estabilitat del cicle i de la seva qualitat \u2014no oblidem que <strong>el s\u00f2l \u00e9s un filtre per a l\u2019aigua<\/strong>-.<\/p>\n<p>Al s\u00f2l l\u2019aigua s\u2019infiltra i omple els macro i microporus, i \u00e9s retinguda en estar sotmesa a la tensi\u00f3 de les forces de succi\u00f3; per altra banda, l\u2019aigua sobrant, a causa de la gravetat, percola i recorre el<strong> cam\u00ed descendent<\/strong> cap a capes m\u00e9s profundes i aqu\u00ed pot passar a formar part de les <strong>aig\u00fces subterr\u00e0nies<\/strong> o moure\u2019s en direcci\u00f3 lateral, depenent de la topografia del terreny, alimentant <strong>rius<\/strong> i <strong>rierols<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>cam\u00ed ascendent<\/strong> ve de la m\u00e0 de l\u2019evaporaci\u00f3, passant l\u2019aigua a l\u2019atmosfera en forma de <strong>vapor<\/strong>, b\u00e9 des del propi s\u00f2l per capil\u00b7laritat, des de les fulles de les plantes, en un proc\u00e9s anomenat evapotranspiraci\u00f3 o per sublimaci\u00f3 -pas de s\u00f2lid a gas\u00f3s- a la superf\u00edcie de les glaceres.<\/p>\n<p>El <strong>paper de les plantes<\/strong> \u00e9s com a poc sorprenent, ja que m\u00e9s del 90% de l\u2019aigua que absorbeixen des dels micropors del terra la perden per evaporaci\u00f3 a trav\u00e9s dels seus estomes degut a l\u2019energia del sol i nom\u00e9s el 10% <strong>la utilitzen per al seu metabolisme i desenvolupament<\/strong>. En aquest petit percentatge est\u00e0 incl\u00f2s l\u2019\u00fas de l\u2019aigua com a font de protons i electrons a la fotos\u00edntesi, cosa que ens proveir\u00e0 d\u2019oxigen i aliment -total res-. De l\u2019altre gran percentatge dep\u00e8n l\u2019absorci\u00f3 de la major part dels nutrients del s\u00f2l a trav\u00e9s dels <strong>sistemes radiculars<\/strong> per la for\u00e7a de la transpiraci\u00f3 i la regulaci\u00f3 del contingut de vapor atmosf\u00e8ric, cosa que tindr\u00e0 implicacions essencials en el clima.<\/p>\n<p>Tornant al s\u00f2l, igual que passa amb el carboni pel que fa a l\u2019aigua podem parlar de s\u00f2ls que retenen i la fan disponible i s\u00f2ls que no realitzen aquesta funci\u00f3 -s\u00f2ls nus, degradats o en fase de degradaci\u00f3-.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_88566\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-88566\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-88566 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/suelo.jpg\" alt=\"hidrologia del s\u00f2l\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/suelo.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/suelo-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/suelo-696x464.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.bioecoactual.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/suelo-630x420.jpg 630w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-88566\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">123rfLimited\u00a9serezniy. Tierra rica en nutrientes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>L\u2019ONU, en el dia mundial del s\u00f2l, ens diu que un metre c\u00fabic de s\u00f2l sa pot retenir m\u00e9s de 250 litres d\u2019aigua; en aquest context,<strong> qu\u00e8 necessita un s\u00f2l per ser considerat sa i \u201crecollidor\u201d d\u2019aigua?<\/strong>, doncs tot all\u00f2 que li permeti ser un h\u00e0bitat per a la vida, \u00e9s a dir presentar <strong>continguts adequats de mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica<\/strong> que actuar\u00e0 com una esponja, una estructura i agregaci\u00f3 estables que permeten macro i microporositats, biodisponibilitat mineral, pres\u00e8ncia de <strong>sistemes radiculars actius i biodiversitat funcional<\/strong> actuant en cooperaci\u00f3 sin\u00e8rgica.<\/p>\n<p>La bona not\u00edcia \u00e9s que a nivell agrari podem actuar a trav\u00e9s de <strong>pr\u00e0ctiques de gesti\u00f3<\/strong> que prioritzin maneigs enfocats a la salut i la conservaci\u00f3 del s\u00f2l: el m\u00ednim conreu o el no conreu, l\u2019aportaci\u00f3 de mat\u00e8ria org\u00e0nica en quantitat i qualitat, l\u2019\u00fas de cobertes vives o com a <em>mulching<\/em>, l\u2019eliminaci\u00f3 de fitot\u00f2xics, la perman\u00e8ncia d\u2019una diversitat de biomassa a\u00e8ria i radicular a trav\u00e9s de la pr\u00e0ctica de rotacions i associacions de cultiu, la ramaderia regenerativa, s\u00f3n nom\u00e9s algunes pr\u00e0ctiques que milloren directament la retenci\u00f3 i qualitat de l\u2019aigua.<\/p>\n<p>En aquest context, l\u2019enfocament ha de sobrevolar l\u2019escenari agrosist\u00e8mic: la conservaci\u00f3 d\u2019aiguamolls, la preservaci\u00f3 d\u2019un mosaic de biodiversitat vegetal que associ\u00ef all\u00f2 que \u00e9s natural al productiu, limitaci\u00f3 a l\u2019expansi\u00f3 urban\u00edstica en s\u00f2ls d\u2019especial inter\u00e8s o en zones amb escassetat de recursos h\u00eddrics, preservar i fer m\u00e9s eficients els regadius tradicionals \u201cpaisatges culturals de l\u2019aigua\u201d, limitar la sobreexplotaci\u00f3 de l\u2019aigua subterr\u00e0nia, potenciar l\u2019agricultura i la ramaderia extensiva, s\u00f3n algunes de les accions guiades pel coneixement i l\u2019experi\u00e8ncia.<\/p>\n<p>Fer eficient i equilibrada aquesta perman\u00e8ncia, en un escenari clim\u00e0tic canviant en qu\u00e8 la tend\u00e8ncia \u00e9s anar cap a temperatura en augment durant per\u00edodes de temps m\u00e9s llargs i intervals sense pluja cada cop m\u00e9s prolongats, requereix de la <strong>incorporaci\u00f3 de nous paradigmes<\/strong> des de la ci\u00e8ncia que dimensionin el paper del s\u00f2l i de la seva gesti\u00f3 resilient, des de la pol\u00edtica que prioritzi la regulaci\u00f3 dels seus usos sobre la base de la seva conservaci\u00f3 i des de la <strong>ciutadania<\/strong> que reconegui com la salut del s\u00f2l \u00e9s una asseguran\u00e7a no nom\u00e9s per a la pr\u00f2pia salut sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 per a la seguretat aliment\u00e0ria i per a la qualitat de l\u2019aigua dol\u00e7a indispensable per a la vida.<\/p>\n<p>Al p\u00f2ster de les Nacions Unides que commemora el dia mundial del s\u00f2l, veiem una gran gota d\u2019aigua i a sota el lema \u201cel s\u00f2l i l\u2019aigua font de vida\u201d expressant la necessitat de valorar i protegir tots dos recursos conjuntament, doncs b\u00e9, em pregunto com \u00e9s possible que des de l\u2019any 2000 hi hagi una Directiva Marc de l\u2019Aigua de la Uni\u00f3 Europea (2000\/60\/CE) i en aquest moment en relaci\u00f3 al s\u00f2l, darrerament nom\u00e9s tinguem una resoluci\u00f3 del Parlament Europeu 2021\/2548 instant a la Comissi\u00f3 a protegir el s\u00f2l de manera determinant sense cap valor jur\u00eddicament vinculant? <strong>Interessos geopol\u00edtics<\/strong>, la resposta \u00e9s \u201cclara com l\u2019aigua\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Autora:<\/strong>\u00a0Juana Labrador Moreno, Dra.
