The focus is on participation, responsibility and new impetus for sustainable transformation.<\/p>\n

BIOFACH 2026: From 10 to 13 February<\/h2>\n

Once a year, the international organic community gathers in Nuremberg at the world\u2019s leading fair for organic food. From 10 to 13 February 2026<\/strong>, BIOFACH<\/strong>, B\u00d6LW and IFOAM will be putting the next generation under the spotlight \u2013 especially in the congress programme. Under the banner \u00abGrowing Tomorrow: Young Voices, Bold Visions\u00bb, the focus will be on young people who are changing the global food and agriculture landscape with their bold visions and novel ideas. In times of global uncertainty \u2013 from climate crisis to geopolitical tensions and increasing social divisions \u2013 BIOFACH 2026 is set to bring all generations of the organic movement together.<\/p>\n

The aim is to forge a strong alliance between those who created the foundations of the ecological farming and food system and those who will continue the vision \u2013 with new ideas, diverse perspectives, and fresh energy. \u00abAll over the world, young people are bringing new vigour to the ecological movement with their creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep-seated desire for change. The organic system needs momentum<\/h3>\n

The organic food sector is under pressure worldwide. Environmental pollution, geopolitical conflicts, and economic uncertainty are shaping the underlying market conditions. At the same time, there is growing social awareness about food sovereignty, health and climate protection. More than ever, the organic food system is seen as part of the solution. Nevertheless, the prerequisites for a sustainable transformation are no longer a given: political support fluctuates, misinformation is impeding fact-based debate, and the future of the sector depends on whether the next generation can be purposefully supported and involved.<\/p>\n

Young stakeholders in the organic movement are now assuming responsibility worldwide \u2013 in farms, start-ups, educational establishments, associations, and the research community. They contribute creative concepts, network internationally, and combine traditional values with innovative technologies, social entrepreneurship, and political vision. In the process, they are consciously drawing on the practical expertise of organic pioneers and transforming it for the future. \u00abThe major issues of our times affecting the future can only be resolved on an intergenerational basis,\u00bb stresses Tina Andres<\/strong>, Chair of the German Federation of Organic Food Producers (B\u00d6LW<\/strong>). \u00abAt BIOFACH 2026, the stage belongs to the young, committed people who are taking on responsibility today and shaping the future. The social issues that need to be addressed in 2026 are more urgent than ever: How does the organic system remain part of an open, inclusive and democratic movement? How does generational change succeed as a collaborative process \u2013 underpinned by trust and dialogue? How can young people actively help shape companies, organisations and political structures? The sector itself is facing the challenge of responding to new forms of communication and lifestyles without losing its values and roots. \u00abGrowing Tomorrow: Young Voices, Bold Visions\u00bb puts these questions at the heart of BIOFACH 2026 and shows how the next generation is not just following in the footsteps of the previous generation but is giving its own impetus to the future of the organic movement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The congress programme<\/strong> is designed by the sector for the sector: Everyone is invited to submit concrete suggestions for the programme via the Call for Ideas<\/strong><\/a>.
