Due to reduced or nonexistent inputs, organic food and farming improve biodiversity compared to conventionally managed fields. At the same time, organic practices maintain soil and plant health, building ecological and sustainable cycles while reducing environmental impacts and ensuring fairness regarding the common environment and life opportunities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1621\">The European Action Plan includes the launch of annual awards that recognize excellence in the organic value chain.<\/p>\n<h2>Award ceremony and organizers<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"33\" data-end=\"151\">The awards will be announced on Monday, September 23, 2026, coinciding with the celebration of European Organic Day.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"153\" data-end=\"337\">The European Commission, together with the European Economic and Social Committee, the European Committee of the Regions, COPA-COGECA, and IFOAM Organics Europe, organize this event.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Further information <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.ec.europa.eu\/farming\/organic-farming\/organic-action-plan\/eu-organic-awards_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.agriculture.ec.europa.eu<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The application period for the &lsquo;European Organic Awards&rsquo; is officially open until April 26.
