BIOFACH<\/strong>, the World\u2019s Leading Trade Fair for Organic Food, and VIVANESS<\/strong>, the International Trade Fair for Natural and Organic Personal Care, have brought this year\u2019s event at the exhibition centre Nuremberg to a close on a high note. More than 51,500 visitors<\/strong>,\u00a050% from outside Germany, drew inspiration from the wealth of products on show from 3,273 exhibitors from 98 countries<\/strong>, and had the opportunity to discover novelties, trends and innovations from all around the world.<\/p>\n

\"BIOFACH<\/p>\n

Besides Germany, the top five countries represented by this year\u2019s visitors included Italy, Austria, France and Spain. And with about 9,500 delegates and participants in its discussions, the accompanying Congress confirmed its position as the largest international platform for knowledge transfer and networking.<\/p>\n

Petra Wolf<\/strong>, Member of the Management Board, N\u00fcrnbergMesse, commented: \u201cThe atmosphere in all ten exhibition halls was amazing. The enthusiasm for the sector was palpable right from the outset \u2013 the level of energy there was fantastic. The market is currently developing very dynamically. So we\u2019re all the more pleased that our exhibitors and visitors have BIOFACH and VIVANESS down on their calendars as the most important forum for trading and sharing ideas, especially in such busy times! We\u2019re already looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2020.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The BIOFACH<\/a> and VIVANESS<\/a> team is very happy with the positive feedback from the advisory board: \u201cSuch a great fair, and it\u2019s such a lot of fun to be here.\u201d \u2013 \u201cA success in every respect and sensationally good.\u201d \u2013 \u201cWe\u2019re right at home at BIOFACH, it feels good to attend as a dealer!\u201d\u00a0\u2013 \u201cA great atmosphere and plenty of traffic!\u201d \u2013 \u201cThe congress has developed really well.\u201d \u2013 \u201cExcellent contacts, in the right quality and quantity.\u201d \u2013 \u201cThe international area was brilliant!\u201d \u2013 \u201cThe atmosphere at both trade fairs was very, very good, open and future-oriented!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Visitor magnets at the Congress: events on market statistics<\/h3>\n

Delegates at the BIOFACH and VIVANESS Congress this year showed a particular interest in the sessions on market statistics. VIVANESS drew\u00a0143 participants to the event \u201cThe Natural and Organic cosmetic market 2018: Facts, figures and market forecasts\u201d,<\/em> while the corresponding event at the BIOFACH Congress, \u201cThe German organic market: Facts, figures from 2018 and analysis\u201d<\/em>, brought together 251 industry representatives. The average number of visitors to the total of 139 individual sessions at the Congress showed a strong increase, from 60 on the previous occasion to 68 in 2019.<\/p>\n

Award-worthy: Best New Product Awards<\/h3>\n

Once again in 2019, the trade visitors voted for their favourites at both trade fairs to win the Best New Product Award in seven categories. The dazzling winners at\u00a0VIVANESS\u00a0<\/strong>were: SPEICK Naturkosmetik, which should be very happy with its awards for \u201cBlack Soap\u201d with activated charcoal in the Facial Care category and \u201cSPEICK SUN\u201d in the Special Cosmetics\/Care category; Weleda, with its Skin Food series: \u201cBody Butter\u201d, \u201cLip Butter\u201d and \u201cLight\u201d (Body Care); URTEKRAM, with its \u201cGreen Matcha anti-pollution hair treatment\u201d (Haircare); benecos, with the \u201cbenecos Natural Foundation Stick\u201d (Decorative Cosmetics); DENTTABS, with \u201cdental care tablets with and without fluoride\u201d and the \u201cBamboo Brush\u201d (General Chemist\u2019s Items); as well as Coscoon Cosmetics, with \u201ccr\u00e8me solide – solid bodybutter\u201d (Wellness Products).<\/p>\n

K\u00e4serebellen GmbH was one of the lucky winners at BIOFACH<\/strong> with its \u201cOrganic Pumpkin Rebel\u201d (Fresh Products), as was Schrozberger Milchbauern with its \u201cCookie Ice Cream\u201d (Frozen Products). In the category \u201cDry Products, Cooking and Baking\u201d, \u201cPesto seaweed-wild garlic\u201d from Georg Thalhammer was honoured with one of the sought-after awards. Landgarten impressed the trade visitors with \u201cAlmond-Rose Blossom for You\u201d, \u201cBerry-Selection for You\u201d and \u201cAmarena Cherry for You\u201d in the \u201cDry Products, Snacks and Sweets\u201d category. \u201cHANS Coffee&Berry\u201c from HANS Brainfood won a BIOFACH Best New Product Award in the \u201cOther Dry Products\u201d category. In the Drinks category, Nutracevit proved a winner with \u201cBIOHASKAP\u00ae 100% pure organic haskap superberry juice, NFC\u201d. And primoza, one of the newcomers in the young Innovative Companies pavilion, impressed the trade visitors with \u201cThe Growing Calendar\u201d in the Non-Food category.<\/p>\n

Save the date for 2020 now: 12-15 February<\/h3>\n

The next meeting of the international industry at BIOFACH and VIVANESS will take place on 12-15 February 2020<\/strong>. Ninety-five percent of this year\u2019s visitors have already blocked these dates out, to be sure of attending again next year.<\/p>\n
