The European Organic Congress 2025 (EOC2025) is set to take place in Warsaw, Poland, from 25–27 June, bringing together a dynamic mix of policymakers, farmers, businesses, researchers to shape the next era of organic in Europe. Co-organised by IFOAM Organics Europe, PIZE – Polish Chamber of Organic Food, and the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, EOC2025 will be held within the framework of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

For nearly two decades, the European Organic Congress has served as the leading forum for policymakers, farmers, businesses, and researchers to come together, exchange ideas, and shape the direction of the organic sector. The 2025 edition comes at a critical time as the organic movement looks toward the future.

Held at a pivotal time for agricultural policy in Europe, the European Organic Congress 2025 is shaped by the most pressing topics for the organic sector. From the next Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the new Vision for Agriculture and Food to the evolution of the EU Organic Regulation, the Congress will also spotlight generational renewal to empower the next wave of organic professionals. With expert insights on market trends, water resilience, NGTs, biocontrol and strategies to ensure competitiveness and resilience, EOC2025 will feature a dynamic mix of interactive workshops, plenary debates, and high-level interventions.

High-level voices, big conversations

The Congress opens with remarks from the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, setting the tone for a packed programme of action-oriented dialogue. Throughout the Congress, attendees will hear from Herbert Dorfmann, Member of the European Parliament and key figure in the AGRI Committee, who will delve into the evolving Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and what it means for organic. Meanwhile, Luis Carazo Jimenez, Head of the Organics Unit at DG AGRI (European Commission), will shed light on the ongoing simplification of the EU Organic Regulation and what’s coming next.

The economics of organic farming will take centre stage in a keynote by Dr. Jürn Sanders, Chair of FiBL Switzerland and President of FiBL Europe, while Michel Reynaud, Vice President of Ecocert Group, and Jérémie Vidal, President of Ecocert, will contribute insights on regulation, certification, and youth leadership in the sector. When it comes to global market trends, a panel featuring international experts from the US, China, and Europe, including Prof. Yuhui Qiao, Tom Chapman, Lee Holdstock and Prof. Sylwia Żakowska-Biemans, will explore where organic is heading worldwide.
