Few beauty products stand the test of time to become true cult classics, even fewer remain with their original formulation unchanged. Introduced in 1926, Skin Food’s legendary reputation steadily has grown over the decades, and this iconic hero is loved by high profile celebrities and make-up artists alike.

Today, a tube of Skin Food Original sells every 6 seconds worldwide* retailing in over 50 countries around the globe! 30million units were sold in the last decade, and Skin Food Original has attracted >100,000 5-star online reviews.
To mark the 100-year anniversary, a new larger 100ml tube of Skin Food will launch this spring, retailing at a celebratory £19.26, and a centenary campaign joining legendary icons will be launched, with Skin Food partnering with the most visionary global voice in sustainable fashion – Stella McCartney – as well as international make-up artist and star of the BBC’s Glow Up, Val Garland.
“We’re thrilled to see our cult-favourite Skin Food take centre stage at Stella McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week show, lighting up the runway with that unmistakable Skin Food Glow. As we celebrate 100 years of Skin Food, this beauty icon proves it’s more relevant than ever, a backstage beauty essential and make-up artist must-have that continues to fly off shelves worldwide with one sold every 2.5 seconds. Partnering with a true trailblazer like Stella McCartney is a dream come true, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate our hero product together.” Jayn Sterland, Country Manager, Weleda UK
“Weleda is such a great brand that has always stayed committed to natural, ethical and sustainable values without chasing trends – I really respect that, and I love Skin Food. My brand has never wavered from our core principles – we’ve been free from leather, feathers, fur and exotic skins since day one. So, to align with another company that proves integrity can last is truly meaningful.” Stella McCartney
Legendary make-up artist Val Garland will join Weleda as Skin Food’s Make-up Artist Ambassador, providing content for PR, social and digital, and creating bespoke Limited Edition Skin Food x Val Garland Glow packaging and a Glow make-up brush gift set, as well as hosting a media launch event for the Skin Food 100ml Limited Edition (April), and a consumer retailer MUA Glow Masterclass.
Over 900 make-up artists in the UK regularly use Skin Food Original and 99% of British make-up artists recommend Skin Food Original**. The backstage beauty essential nourishes and repairs skin, and gives a healthy glow to dry and lacklustre skin. Beloved for its multi-tasking versatility, it is an instant fix for dry patches, a natural highlighter for cheek bones, a tamer of flyaways, and the perfect base for a dewy make-up look.

Skin food is powered by four signature botanicals: calendula, chamomile, rosemary and viola tricolor, in a luxurious base of nourishing plant oils and protective natural waxes. Infused with Skin Food’s natural fragrance, it’s been loving skin for 100 years and the iconic original has since inspired an entire Skin Food collection.
In the last decade, Skin Food Original sales have grown globally by over 300%, and in the UK have soared – 2025 sales show growth of more than 1,000% compared to sales in 2016 for this hero. While UK sales of the full Skin Food collection (since the Skin Food family started to expand in 2019) have increased by more than 400% as a whole. Globally today one Skin Food product sells approximately every 2.5 seconds. *
