Diversified Communications, event organiser of Organic Food Iberia, has announced the launch of a major new Iberian trade event for sustainable beauty and eco living.

The latest addition to Diversified’s growing natural and organic products portfolio, Eco Living Iberia will launch alongside Organic Food Iberia at the IFEMA exhibition centre in Madrid on 6-7 June 2019.

Distinctly separate yet co-located, together they form the first, fully-professional, international ecological trade event to ever be staged in Spain

Eco Living Iberia New eco living fair to co-locate with Organic Food Iberia in Madrid next yearOver 300 exhibitors will be showcasing the best choice of organic, sustainable, and ethically-produced food, drink, wine, self-care, beauty, skincare, clothing, homewares and cleaning products.

“The enthusiastic reception for Organic Food Iberia proved that there was substantial demand and support for a world-class event dedicated to promoting both the organic and natural sectors in Spain.  An event that reflected the Iberian region’s strong commitment to both organic food production and the ecological/sustainable market,” says Carsten Holm, MD of Diversified Communications UK.

“The natural synergy between the two events will ensure there are expanded business opportunities for all attendees,” adds Mr Holm. “Many of the biggest names in natural and organic will be exhibiting, many of the most important regions have already reserved dedicated pavilions, and thousands of trade buyers from across Europe and around the globe are expected to visit. It’s incredibly exciting and we’re looking forward to staging, what we hope will become, one of the most important organic trade events in the world.”

The launch follows months of consultation with leading players and associations in Spain.  Many have already commented that it’s long overdue.

Álvaro Barrera, president of Ecovalia (Organic Value Association CAAE), says : “Ecological consumers not only shop for ecological food, but also for cosmetics, clothing and other items that can help to put into practice his or her lifestyle choices, with responsible consumption.  Eco Living Iberia will showcase a wide range of products and is a great opportunity to reach trade buyers already familiar with this trend.  Sales opportunities will be improved for exhibiting companies, as well as distributors and specialised retailers, who can source products in line with the Ecological Philosophy of Consumption.”

Mikel Feijoo Elzo, founder and president of ethical and sustainable fashion brand SKUNKFUNK, agrees, calling the fair “a necessary initiative inside a necessary change.”

Alongside its central exhibition, Eco Living Iberia will feature a dedicated Eco Theatre; The Innovation Zone – featuring the next wave of bestselling products; Regional and International Pavilions; a VIP and Hosted Buyers programme; and the Eco & Organic Awards Iberia.
