Naturalia continued its positive momentum during the first half of 2026, driven by the strong performance of its fresh food departments, the rollout of new retail formats and the expansion of its digital offering. According to the half-year results published by Casino Group, Naturalia generated €166 million in sales during the first six months of 2026. This represents a 5.7% increase on a like-for-like basis and 4.2% total growth.
Growth accelerated during the second quarter, when the retailer posted 6.1% like-for-like growth and 5.3% total sales growth.
Higher customer traffic and strong fresh food performance
Naturalia’s results were largely supported by increased customer traffic across its stores. Footfall rose by 2.9% during the second quarter and by 3.5% over the first half of the year.
Food remained the retailer’s main growth driver, with sales increasing by 6.6%. Within this category, fresh products stood out, recording growth of 9.3%.
Store transformation and new retail formats
Operationally, Naturalia is beginning to reap the benefits of transforming its retail network. The rollout of the “La Ferme” concept, designed to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional fresh food market, continues to deliver positive results.
Stores converted during 2025 are still recording double-digit like-for-like growth. During the second quarter of 2026, a further nine stores adopted the concept, bringing the total number of refurbished locations to 52 by the end of June.
Naturalia also continued expanding its food-to-go offering. During the quarter, another 17 stores introduced its organic snacking concept, increasing the total to 57 stores.
E-commerce continues to accelerate
Digital channels also made a significant contribution to the company’s growth.
- Online sales: revenue generated through Naturalia’s website increased by 32.8%.
- Rapid delivery: the partnership with Uber Eats was expanded to 27 additional stores during the second quarter.
- Coverage: Uber Eats services were available from 120 Naturalia stores by the end of June 2026.
These figures highlight Naturalia’s commitment to an omnichannel strategy that combines modernised physical stores with broader access to its products through digital platforms.
A stable network of 212 stores
As of 30 June 2026, Naturalia operated 212 stores, compared with 213 at the end of 2025.
Of these, 151 were company-owned stores and 61 operated under franchise or management agreements.
During the second quarter, the network saw one new opening, two closures and the conversion of one company-owned store into a franchise.
Operating profitability improves by 10.1%
Higher sales volumes, together with efficient cost control, also strengthened the company’s profitability.
Naturalia’s adjusted EBITDA reached €13.5 million during the first half of 2026, compared with €12.3 million in the same period of the previous year. This represents an increase of 10.1%.
These results confirm Naturalia’s continued recovery and demonstrate that its strategy focused on store transformation, fresh food and digital development is delivering improvements in both sales and profitability.
