Natexpo closed its 2026 edition at Eurexpo Lyon after two days focused on business, meetings between buyers and suppliers, and the latest trends in the organic market. The trade show welcomed 5,771 professionals and strengthened its international profile, with 10% of visitors coming from outside France.

Held under the patronage of the French Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Natexpo 2026 focused on attracting a qualified professional audience and facilitating direct contact between manufacturers, distributors and buyers.
According to the organisers, exhibitors particularly valued the quality of the contacts made during the two-day event, against a backdrop of recovery in the French organic market.
5,771 professionals and all distribution channels represented
The Lyon edition welcomed 5,771 professionals, 10% of whom were international visitors. The trade show brought together representatives from across the distribution sector and strengthened formats specifically designed to generate business opportunities.
The OOH Speed Meetings were fully booked, enabling pre-selected meetings between suppliers and five institutional catering buyers: Elior, Messidor, Mille et Un Repas, Restaurant Inter-administratif de Lyon and Villeurbanne Municipal Catering.
Within specialist retail, the Local Shops area brought together nearly 70 independent stores. Meanwhile, the Fruit & Vegetable Hub facilitated meetings between producers and buyers around a strategic category for organic retailers.
Strong attendance at the conference programme
The conference programme also attracted high levels of participation. Both the La Maison de la Bio Forum and the Organic Trends Forum welcomed full audiences throughout the two days.
Highlights included BASIC’s work on the hidden costs of food, the COSMEBIO and SYNADIET study on consumer expectations, and a presentation by the Holo Foundation alongside athlete Christine Arron, focused on strengthening links between the organic sector and the world of sport.
The show also saw the official announcement of SYNADIS BIO’s return to AGENCE BIO, a development highlighted by the organisers as significant for the economic representation of the French organic sector.
Innovation takes centre stage at the Natexpo Awards
The Natexpo Awards ceremony included the Public Favourite Award, presented to the winner of the International Special Mention: Terrasana’s organic instant miso and shiitake noodles.
As part of the award, Terrasana has secured one year of listing with La Vie Claire, with immediate activation in the retailer’s stores. The other seven Natexpo Awards winners will select their respective prize packages together with Synadis Bio member retailers including Accord Bio, Biomonde, La Fourche, Les Comptoirs de la Bio and Naturalia.
A recovering sector, while concerns remain over producers
Christelle Le Hir, Co-President of La Maison de la Bio, President of SYNADIS BIO and Chairwoman of the Management Board of La Vie Claire, gave a positive assessment of the atmosphere and results of the edition, against a backdrop of recovery in the organic market.
Le Hir nevertheless highlighted concerns over the effects of a summer marked by high temperatures on the health of organic farms and on farmer morale, an issue that featured prominently in discussions throughout the event.
Natexpo strengthens its international dimension
International exhibitors accounted for 25% of all exhibitors at Natexpo 2026, while international visitors represented 10% of total attendance. The edition featured pavilions from Morocco, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as a Hungarian delegation representing, among other products, organic honey and rice.
According to the organisers, these figures reinforce Natexpo’s position as one of the leading professional events for the European organic sector.
The international programme will continue in November with Business Expeditions organised in Barcelona and Brussels, designed to facilitate meetings between French companies and European buyers.
Next edition: Paris in September 2027
The next edition of Natexpo will take place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 26 to 28 September 2027.
