Natural Products Scandinavia and Nordic Organic Food Fair – the Nordic region’s biggest trade show for the natural and organic industry, has been shortlisted for ‘Best Overseas Tradeshow over 2,000sqm’ at the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) Excellence Awards this week.

It’s not the first time this co-located event, which takes place in Malmö, Sweden, on 15-16 November, has been a finalist at the ‘Oscars’ of the UK’s exhibition world.  Nordic Organic Food Fair was shortlisted for Best Tradeshow Exhibition (UK & International) under 2,000sq.m in 2014, and Natural Products Scandinavia was a finalist in the Best Trade Launch Show category in 2013.

The show’s significant year-on-year growth, industry wide support, and record attendance (a significant 25% increase for 2016) puts Natural Products Scandinavia and Nordic Organic Food Fair in good stead to win big at these prestigious awards.

Anne Seeberg, event director of Natural Product Scandinavia and Nordic Organic Food Fair, says: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be nominated for Best Overseas Tradeshow. It really is a testament to all the hard work and dedication of the team over last six years, not to mention all our exhibitors and association partners across the region. Their support has been crucial to the continuing success of the shows.

“Together, we’ve helped grow the market for natural and organic products in the Nordic region, which ultimately, is what we want.  And it’s what we set out to do.  We couldn’t be happier to be shortlisted and are delighted to share this nomination with all the innovative individuals and companies that we work with,” she says.

Fiona Allen, the show’s marketing manager, adds: “We are very proud that all the hard work has been recognised. To be nominated for Best Overseas Tradeshow, up against some other impressive events, is tangible recognition that we are getting it right.  The team have worked admirably to build this brand and the key relationships with our partners and exhibitors, across numerous verticals, territories and challenges.  Sincere thanks to all in the industry who have supported us, we would not be here without you.”

Diversified UK, the show’s organiser, is celebrating multiple AEO Excellence Awards nominations.  Casual Dining is up for ‘Best UK Tradeshow – over 2,000 sqm’ and Commercial Kitchen, which ran at the NEC Birmingham last week, is up for two trophies – ‘Best Tradeshow Launch’ and ‘Best Tradeshow under 2,000sqm’.

The AEO Excellence Awards 2017 take place this week, on 16 June, at Grosvenor House, in London
