From 7 to 9 November 2019, BIOFACH INDIA will open its doors for the 11th time. The India Expo Centre (IEML) in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR will then become the gathering place for Indian and international organic industry players. Taking place simultaneously is the NATURAL EXPO INDIA, which showcases semi-natural products including some that are undergoing the process of organic certification.

BIOFACH INDIA: India’s must-do event for the organic industry goes into its 11th round

The event expects to welcome more than 200 exhibitors and some 10,000 global decision-makers from the service, production, retail and manufacturing segments. The organisers, NürnbergMesse India and APEDA, are relying on the proven exhibition concept of wide-ranging product display and international conference with high-calibre speakers.

Sonia Prashar, CEO of NürnbergMesse India, is very enthusiastic about the forthcoming event: “Following the impressive growth of the last BIOFACH INDIA on its tenth anniversary, we are very much looking forward to organising the next round of India’s most important annual symposium for the organic sector. The 11th round of BIOFACH INDIA in conjunction with NATURAL EXPO INDIA will take place parallel to the World Assembly on Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy (WAAYN). The substantial synergies between these events will also help to drive the fast growing market for organic and natural products in India. At the same time, we are continuing our fruitful collaboration with APEDA – together with strong support from leading associations like IFOAM, ICCOA, OFAI, FSSAI, BDAI and AIOI.”

Wide-ranging product display with innovative impetus

The next round of BIOFACH INDIA and NATURAL EXPO INDIA offers numerous highlights. As both events have their own eligibility criteria, the unique feature of BIOFACH – to showcase only certified organic products – is strictly observed at BIOFACH INDIA. At the same time the range of products on display at NATURAL EXPO INDIA will provide new inspiration. At the combined event, visitors can look forward not just to a comprehensive display of food and drink but also a wide range of products from segments like natural cosmetics, wellness, textiles and certification. Various pavilions from the most important states of India will also provide a vibrant impression of the attractive organic market in India. The German Pavilion subsidised by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) is going into its second round and assists firms from Germany to take part in the trade fair.

The accompanying international conference with its high-calibre speakers is set to provide interesting insights into the current opportunities and challenges of the organic market. In addition, an international Buyers’ Delegation coordinates targeted business meetings at the venue for purchasers from Europe and the USA. This is yet another example of how India’s largest industry gathering for the organic community is once again providing numerous business and networking opportunities for attendees.

The international patron of BIOFACH is IFOAM – Organics International, while the national honorary sponsor is the German Federation of Organic Food Producers (BÖLW). An integral part of this world-leading fair is the BIOFACH Congress, a knowledge-sharing platform that is unique worldwide. With another six BIOFACH events in Japan, the USA, South America, China, India and Thailand, BIOFACH World has a global presence and year for year brings together more than 4,000 exhibitors and 150,000 trade visitors.
