Natural, organic and sustainable products are making their way to the 35th edition of SANA, the International Organic and Natural Food Show, from this year onwards entirely B2B. Producers, distributors, buyers, institutions and inspection bodies meet at BolognaFiere to keep up to date with the latest trends. The BIO & NATURAL FOOD area will be open from 7 to 9 September, while the CARE & BEAUTY and GREEN LIFESTYLE pavilions will also open their doors on Sunday 10.

Green and natural cosmetics grow

Last year, 41% of the specialized visitors were herbalists, pharmacists and para-pharmacists, and homoeopathic physicians: a figure that testifies to the centrality of the sector for the operators, who next September will see confirmed the collaboration with Tecniche Nuove Group and L’Erborista magazine, with which the new edition of the Via delle Erbe will be realized.

Seven keynote lectures by experts in phytotherapy and herbal medicine, academics and opinion leaders in the field are scheduled, addressed to herbalists and practitioners involved in health and wellness. Protagonists of the 2023 Herbal Pathway will be “white herbs”, specifically focusing on those that benefit the digestive system. This route will be complemented by an exhibition space displaying wellness and health products.

Food area: for an organic, healthy and sustainable diet

The ORGANIC & NATURAL FOOD area of SANA, the exhibition space dedicated to organic and natural agri-food, will highlight new consumer trends and environmentally friendly product innovations. In addition, the event will reserve an area for the veg universe (understood in its vegan, vegetarian, raw vegan and plant-based declinations) created in partnership with the certifying body V-Label Italia.

There will also be a focus on everything related to intolerances, allergies, free from, reach-in or low-in foods. Gluten-free specialist Francesco Favorito is partnering with the event to address this issue with authority. After last year’s positive debut, the Breakfast area and the Aperitif area are also confirmed at SANA, which will re-propose, naturally in an organic version, quality products intended for these specific moments of consumption.

SANATECH: 3rd edition

The appointment with SANATECH, the professional exhibition dedicated to the agrifood, livestock and organic and eco-sustainable well-being supply chain, with multiple product categories and moments of in-depth study and training, promoted by BolognaFiere with the support of FederBio Servizi and in collaboration with Avenue Media, is renewed.

The CARE & BEAUTY and GREEN LIFESTYLE pavilions will also open their doors on Sunday 10 September

New on SANA and novelties

SANA will highlight the new products proposed by exhibitors through the SANA Novità area and, in enhancing the entire supply chain, will target not only Italian visitors but also international ones through the networking platform B2Match, to translate their interest in the products on display at the fair into business opportunities. At the same time, the event will inaugurate NEW ON SANA, an exclusive space for start-ups and young companies that focus on innovation and sustainable development. The initiative aims to involve these companies, supporting processes and projects with a highly innovative value in the agrifood, cosmetics, packaging and all “green” sectors.

SANA is organized by BolognaFiere in collaboration with FederBio, AssoBio and Cosmetica Italia, with the support of ICE – Italian Trade & Investment Agency, as well as under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Bologna, and in partnership with V-Label Italia.
