IFOAM Organics Europe has released the second video of its #OrganicDelivers campaign, this time highlighting the role of biodistricts in fostering more sustainable food systems across Europe. Biodistricts – territories where farmers, citizens, local authorities and other stakeholders come together to manage local resources in a sustainable way – are a driving force in making organic accessible, strengthening rural areas, and connecting citizens with the benefits of organic farming.
This new video, premiered at the end of August during the Organic Districts World Congress in Datong, China, follows the first #OrganicDelivers documentary on organic breeding, launched on 3 September 2025. Both underline how organic contributes to addressing today’s environmental, social and economic challenges, while offering real solutions for the future of food and farming.
Eduardo Cuoco, Director of IFOAM Organics Europe, said: “Organic delivers more than you think. Organic farming is a powerful tool to build new connections, create economic wealth and help our communities to become more resilient. And it is the proof that protecting our health and our natural resources can go hand in hand with creating new economic opportunities for rural areas.”
The launch of this documentary comes just ahead of the EU Organic Awards ceremony, taking place on 23 September – EU Organic Day. On this day, the winners of the 2025 EU Organic Awards will be announced, including the prize for Best Organic Biodistrict. The Awards celebrate outstanding organic actors across Europe and showcase the sector’s contribution to the EU’s goals for sustainable food systems.
The video on biodistricts, together with other campaign materials, is available on the official campaign website. All campaign videos are also available in a dedicated YouTube playlist, with subtitles in 13 different languages, making the content accessible across Europe.
In addition to the videos, podcast episodes on organic breeding are available on YouTube, RedCircle, and Apple Podcasts. Starting on 16 September, seven new episodes focusing on biodistricts will also be released on the same platforms.
